INFORMATION

To set the total numbers of 1s to an even number, we add an extra bit to the leftmost or righmost position. The extra located bit is called the even parity bit. This provides a simple check mechanism for some errors in the transmission of information.

• CLEARING THE INPUT BOX

  

  To find the even parity bit that should be inserted to some other binary numbers you can clear the input box by clicking on the CLEAR button under the input box.

• SELECTING THE PARITY BIT LOCATION

  

  You can select the location of the parity bit by clicking on the drop down menu below the input box.
