To multiply mixed numbers we convert them to improper fractions and apply the same rules as the multiplication of fractions. We multiply the numerators and write the product to the numerator of the result and multiply the denominators and write the product to the denominator of the result. If necessary, we can simplify and convert the result to a mixed fraction.
