The value of the tens digit determines the direction of rounding. If the tens digit is less than 5 (0, 1, 2, 3, or 4), the number is rounded down; if it is 5 or greater (5, 6, 7, 8, or 9), the number is rounded up.
In rounding down, all digits to the right of the hundreds digit are set to zero.
In rounding up, additionally, 100 is added to that number.
