Rounding to the Nearest Ten
The value of the ones digit determines the direction of rounding. If the ones digit is less than 5 (0, 1, 2, 3, or 4), the number is rounded down; if it is 5 or greater (5, 6, 7, 8, or 9), the number is rounded up.
In rounding down, all digits to the right of the tens digit are set to zero.
In rounding up, additionally, 10 is added to that number.
