INFORMATION

The value of the ten thousandths digit determines the direction of rounding. If the ten thousandths digit is less than 5 (0, 1, 2, 3, or 4), the number is rounded down; if it is 5 or greater (5, 6, 7, 8, or 9), the number is rounded up.

In rounding down, all digits to the right of the thousandths digit are set to zero.

In rounding up, additionally, 0.001 is added to that number.
