INFORMATION

The value of the hundredths digit determines the direction of rounding. If the hundredths digit is less than 5 (0, 1, 2, 3, or 4), the number is rounded down; if it is 5 or greater (5, 6, 7, 8, or 9), the number is rounded up.

In rounding down, all digits to the right of the tenths digit are set to zero.

In rounding up, additionally, 0.1 is added to that number.
